About Me
Praised be Jesus Christ! My name is Miss Johns and I am the lead catechist for our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. CGS is an approach to the religious formation of children that is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the Church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children gather in an “atrium,” a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials that are used as a way to pray as we ponder the deepest mysteries of God together. I have been part of St. John Paul II Classical school since its inception in 2016 and have taught grades 1 and 2 in conjunction with CGS. Now I am blessed to be in the Atrium full-time with 3 year-olds through 6th grade. I love listening for the voice of the Good Shepherd with children and look forward to another great year at school! Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these\\\" (Matthew 19:14).
